Training Clara on your business

Clara works the moment you switch it on. But it gets noticeably better the more you tell it about your business and how you like to talk to your customers. Think of it like briefing a new receptionist on their first day - the more context they have, the more they sound like part of the team.

Everything here lives in one place: open Clara and go to Settings → Receptionist.

Why it makes such a difference

Clara uses what it knows about you to decide what to say, which questions matter, and how to handle the calls you’d rather not lose. Tell it very little and it does a solid, general job. Tell it how your business actually works and it starts answering the way you would.

The goal is simple: the more you share, the better Clara performs.

What to tell Clara

Go to Settings → Receptionist and fill in as much as you can:

Keep it up to date

Your business changes, and Clara should change with it. Started offering a new service? Stopped covering a certain area? Heading into a busy season? Pop back into Settings → Receptionist and update the details. It takes a minute and every call after that reflects it.

Train the rest of your receptionist too

“Training” Clara isn’t just the business details. These settings work together, and each one teaches Clara a little more about how you want calls handled:

The businesses that get the most from Clara are the ones that take ten minutes to set all of this up properly.
