A useful electrical intake records the caller and service address, the request and affected area, when it began, what the caller reports seeing, hearing, smelling, or experiencing, whether the condition is happening now, property and access context, and the requested next step. It captures observations without diagnosing a fault, deciding that a situation is safe, or giving electrical instructions.

  • Whether the caller says emergency services, the utility, building management, or another responsible party has been contacted
  • No direction to open, touch, test, bypass, reset, isolate, or repair electrical equipment

  • Do not tell a caller to open, touch, test, bypass, reset, isolate, shut off, or repair electrical equipment

  • Do not imply that a notification was acknowledged when it was only sent
  • Do not replace emergency services, the utility, qualified advice, or approved local safety handling

Methodology and review

A template built around clear boundaries

This worksheet follows Clara's governed US call-intake model and an August 22, 2026 review of electrical call-intake language across Perplexity, Firecrawl, Parallel, and recent X posts. Repeated fields included caller and address, caller role, request and affected area, timing, caller-observed warning signs, condition state, property and access, previous work, responsible-party contact, and the requested next step. Commercial troubleshooting, hazard classifications, pricing, and dispatch claims were not treated as instructions or evidence for Clara. Recent X results were mixed, so they were not treated as evidence of conversion, revenue, urgency, or outcomes. Published and reviewed August 22, 2026.
