To delete a call in Clara, you archive it first. Archiving moves the inquiry and all of its connected calls out of your inbox and into the archive — from there, you can permanently delete it whenever you’re ready.
How to archive a call
There are two ways to do it — use whichever is quicker:
From your Activity inbox:
- Open the Clara app and go to your Activity inbox
- Find the call you want to remove
- Press and hold the call
- Select Archive
From the inquiry itself:
- Open the inquiry
- Tap the action menu (•••) in the top right
- Select Archive
Either way, the inquiry and all its connected calls move to the archive together.
What happens when you archive
- The inquiry disappears from your Activity inbox, along with every call connected to it
- Nothing is deleted yet — everything stays safely in your archive
- The caller isn’t affected in any way. If they ring again, Clara answers as normal
How to permanently delete
Permanent deletion happens from the archive:
- Open the Clara app and go to Settings
- Tap Archive
- Select what you want to remove and permanently delete it from there
Frequently asked questions
Does archiving delete the call? No. Archiving just moves the inquiry and its calls out of your inbox. They stay in your archive until you permanently delete them from Settings → Archive.
Is permanent deletion reversible? No. Once you permanently delete an inquiry from the archive, it’s gone — including its calls, summaries, and details. Make sure you’ve noted anything you want to keep first.
Can I archive a single call without the rest of the inquiry? No — calls are grouped by inquiry, so archiving moves the inquiry and all of its connected calls together.
Does archiving or deleting affect the caller? Not at all. It only tidies your own records. If the same customer calls again, Clara answers normally and a new inquiry appears in your inbox.
